Lapchi makes rugs in Nepal and Pakistan, and prioritizes natural, renewable fibers. In Nepal, according to design, we use combinations of Tibetan wool, fine Chinese silk, coarse Indian raw silk, linen, aloe, and hemp. In Pakistan, we use ghazni wool from sheep grazing in the high mountains. To achieve color, Lapchi uses eco-friendly Swiss Chromium and natural vegetal dyes.
