The Bloom & The Thorns is an interpretation of an original painting by American Artist Brian Coleman. Inspired by a trip to Lake Wylie in South Carolina, Coleman designed this piece based on the reflections on the water that he saw, the lines and shapes derived from a map of the lake and blooming roses from the surrounding areas. This piece has been skilfully hand-knotted in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal using the world’s oldest traditional skills in the finest Tibetan wool and Chinese silk. Knots Rugs hastranslated Coleman’s mixed media contemporary art into modern masterpieces.
